In Turkish, houses with gardens were called Bahcelievler. In the past, the houses of this neighborhood were generally built on one floor and had a garden, and the name Le Oller Garden was taken from the same houses.
This neighborhood is considered one of the largest residential areas in the European section of Istanbul, and its area is about 5% of the area of ??Istanbul. And you can reach this neighborhood from the D100 highway, which is located between Istanbul Airport and the Asian part of this city.

During the Byzantine era, Le Oller Garden was known as Hebdomon and was one of the most important areas because the Byzantine emperors held coronation ceremonies in the churches located in this area. The churches of Avios, Evangelists, and Lounes were among the churches where the coronation ceremonies were held. Meanwhile, the command of the legion of the Byzantine Empire was located in this neighborhood. Given that the history of this neighborhood dates back to the Byzantine era, there are not many historical places in this neighborhood. The reason is that after the fall of Constantinople to the Ottomans, this region lost its importance.

Bahceli Uler district of Istanbul was re-established in 1960 with economic and commercial investments in it. At that time, the first industrial cities were established in this region, after which the workplaces of many large companies were moved to this district, which caused the population of Bahçe li Oller to increase significantly. This increase in population led to many homes being built there, new stores began to operate and this neighborhood expanded rapidly.
